The 6-acre island has a trail system around the island and a trail that goes down the middle of the island between the Main House and the wedding barn. The island is heavily wooded and has 360 degrees of waterfront. Our favorites are South Beach, Sandy Beach, and West Beach in addition to the Main Beach where the kayaks, canoe and stand-up paddleboards are located. “Wedding Rock” has a nice deck with a VERY scenic view looking north towards the high peaks. We have lawn games; croquet, bocci, and ladder ball. We have a family of Loons that nest on the Island every spring and enchant us with their calls and Bald Eagles that visit regularly. S’mores at the evening fire in the front of the main house are a tradition.
The main house was built in the ’30’s with portions of it built earlier, it sleeps 14 persons in 6 bedrooms. The beautiful screened in porch has a sitting area and a dining area for 8 persons (other tables make up dining for 22). It all overlooks Schroon lake to the north, east and west. Just inside the front door you enter the great room with and a central floor to ceiling stone fireplace where there are multiple sitting areas and a game table.
To the right is the dining room with coffee station, drink station with ice maker and a wine cooler. The Chef’s kitchen has a commercial refrigerator and freezer, a commercial range with 6 burners, 2 ovens that can hold full size sheet pans, a griddle top, and broiler, a microwave, a commercial dishwasher, farmhouse sink, a one pot, and an air fryer. There is complete food prep and service ware for 22 persons. In addition, there is a beautiful patio with shaded outdoor seating and a complete outside kitchen with bbq.
The main floor has a wing on the other side of the Great Room with 2 bedrooms; one with 2 double beds and one with a queen size bed that has its own screened in porch. Both these bedrooms have air-conditioning and share a bathroom with a shower. The laundry room with washer and dryer is at the end of the hall. There is another bedroom with queen-size bed with private bath that has a private entrance on the other side of the kitchen and air-conditioning.
Upstairs there is the master bedroom with king-size bed, its own master bath with shower and magnificent views from the screened in porch. There are 2 other bedrooms; one with a queen-size bed that has a sink and separate toilet en suite but would share the bathroom (for a shower) with another guest room that has a king-size bed. All bedrooms have lake views and air-conditioning.
THE COTTAGE
The cottage was built in the 50’s and has a magnificent west facing screened -in porch that hangs out over the water- perfect for viewing the sunset. The cottage can sleep 4 persons . The Master bedroom has a king-size bed and shares the bathroom with another couple. There is a small efficiency kitchen with refrigerator , 2-burner flat stove top, and a convection-microwave-airfryer- perfect for cooking breakfast, snacks and small dinners. Cookware and service ware for 4 persons. The living room with fireplace and cathedral ceiling has a door for separation and has a queen -size Murphy bed to accommodate a 2nd couple. All areas of the cottage are air-conditioned and have beautiful lake views to the west.
THE BARN
The barn is located at the south end of the Island close to the Glamping Tents. It is the perfect spot for a special event or dinner (we do have excellent Chefs that cater at Brill). Stock your own beverages or signature drink from the wooden boat bar, have a movie night with the projector and seating, use the games, puzzles, card table, or Foosball.
GLAMPING tents

We have 2 glamping tents on platforms with “safari -style” tents outfitted with electricity, a king-size bed, fan, bedside tables, lamps, dressers and more! Enjoy the most comfortable way to immerse oneself in the open air. Both tent sites have outdoor fire pits, and are in close proximity to the “wedding barn” where there are full bathrooms with shower facilities for the 2 sites to share. Please note, the tents do not have heating or air-conditioning
THE VIEWS
The views are 360 degrees of beach, forest, lake, mountains and sky! Enjoy the view from absolutely anywhere; inside or outside! We have the sunset, the sunrise, views to the north, south, east and west.
